Terms and Conditions for 1st Choice Movers
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by 1st Choice Movers, a moving and relocation company. By accessing or using any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using our services.
2. Definitions
- “Company” refers to 1st Choice Movers.
- “Services” includes moving, packing, storage, and any other related services.
- “Client” refers to the individual or business contracting our services.
- “Contract” refers to the written agreement between the Company and the Client regarding the provision of moving services.
3. Scope of Services
1st Choice Movers offers residential and commercial moving services, including packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, and transportation. Services are customized based on the Client’s needs and the specific terms of the Contract. The Company reserves the right to modify or discontinue services at any time, with notice to the Client.
4. Responsibilities of the Client
- The Client must provide accurate information regarding the move, including the date, address, and any special requirements.
- It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that all items are properly packed and ready for moving.
- The Client must inform the Company of any potential hazards or obstacles at the move location, such as narrow hallways, fragile or valuable items, or restricted access.
- Any items not disclosed to the Company, such as hazardous materials or valuables, are the responsibility of the Client.
5. Payment Terms
The Client agrees to pay the fees outlined in the Contract. Payment must be made in full before the services are rendered, unless otherwise specified. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. Late payments may incur a penalty fee as specified in the Contract.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- If the Client cancels the move more than 48 hours before the scheduled date, a full refund will be issued.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled date may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total cost.
- If the Company cancels or reschedules the move, the Client will be provided with a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
7. Delivery and Liability
- The Company will make reasonable efforts to deliver items within the agreed timeframe. However, the Company is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond its control, such as weather, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring that their items are adequately insured during the move. While the Company takes all precautions to prevent damage to items, it is not liable for any loss or damage during the moving process unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the Company.
- The Company is not liable for damages to items that are improperly packed or items that the Client fails to disclose as fragile, valuable, or hazardous.
8. Insurance and Liability
- The Company offers liability coverage for damage to the truck during the move. The Client is advised to purchase additional insurance coverage for greater protection of the property.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the inventory list provided to the Company. Any discrepancies between the inventory list and actual items may void the Company’s liability for damages or loss.
9. Force Majeure
Neither the Company nor the Client shall be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of their obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, labor strikes, or government actions.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the services provided by 1st Choice Movers shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration process shall be conducted in the jurisdiction where the Company is located.
11. Privacy Policy
1st Choice Movers is committed to protecting the privacy of its Clients. Any personal information collected during the booking process will be kept confidential and used solely for the purposes of providing moving services. The Company will not share Client information with third parties without prior consent, except as required by law.
12. Modification of Terms
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Client through the contact information provided. The Client’s continued use of the services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
